The invention relates to means for reproducing and studying ecological systems at the level of microbial cenoses and interacting thereof with the macrocomponents of such cenoses and for growing plants, and, more concrete, to designing the base of a substrate for reproducing and studying ecological systems. The present invention can be used in biology, ecology, agrosystems and industry for studying the spatial structure (architectonics) of microbial cenoses, investigating qualitative and quantitative composition thereof and revealing the microorganisms which are not cultivated and thus earlier were unknown to science. The base of a substrate is made as a bundle of fibers of a flexible biological inert material, the bundle is fixed on one side, and spaces between the fibers of the bunch are purposed for arranging organisms and a nutrient medium therein. According to the invention, the base of the substrate includes at least two sectional bundles rigidly connected between each other. In doing so the side surfaces of the fibers of one section interact with the side surfaces of the fibers of the second section, and the base of the substrate forms an integral body in such a manner as to allow creating the identical capillarity conditions in the sectional bundles. The special features of the body proposed consists in that sectional bundles thereof make up a coaxial body and are made of the fibers which differ between each other by shape and/or material thereof, and/or by adhesive properties thereof. |
