Bean sprouts are positioned by a device comprising a plate with parallel grooves. The plate is imparted with up and down vibration. The bean sprout ends are cut off by a device comprising a cutting off conveyor with multiple cutting tools. The blades of the cutting tools are positioned opposite to each other. A transfer conveyor is mounted over the cutting off conveyor.
