On depression of button 1 against a return spring 3, contact carrying portions 4 pivoted on link 2 snap into a position with their outer ends raised so that contacts 7 break with fixed contacts 8 and make with fixed contacts 9, a slight rubbing action providing cleaning. Parts 4, 2, 1 may be formed from an integral plastics piece. Contacts 7, 8, 9 are silver covered copper wires, and contacts 8, 9 connect to printed circuitry. The contact may alternatively be connected so as to provide a " normally closed " or " normally open " switch. |
