摘要 Invention relates to machine building. The method of ultrasonic treatment of the surface of lengthy articles consists in that the working tools are pressed against the surface of workpiece, are component and working tools are set into mutual axial displacement. The working tools are set in rotary fluctuating motion of supersonic frequency. Angular rate of rotationof working tool is preliminarily selected depending on the linear speed of axial displacement of workpiece in accordance with specific relationship. When f - frequency of the vibrations of working tool, S- contact area of working tool with workpiece, Е,,- modulus of elasticity, thickness and resonance characteristic of working tools satisfy the expression:, force of pressing Рct and amplitude of oscillations A of working tools is defined taking into account the coefficient of friction, modulus of elasticity Еb, densityand yield pointof the material of workpiece according to specific formula. Technical result: increase of relaxation, corrosion resistance and fatigue strength of lengthy articles.
