ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIC APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF CARDIAC DYSFUNCTION

An ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system and method are described for analyzing left ventricular timing in real time. Live tissue Doppler images are produced and icons indicating locations of interest for timing comparison are manipulated over a live or frozen tissue Doppler image. Velocity data is acquired from the indicated locations and used to produce velocity vs. time graphs for the indicated locations. In a described example the location icons continuously track the same anatomical locations through the heart cycle. The velocity graphs may be presented as scrolling or static displays.
