An electronic pavement advertising device comprises a flat panel display screen 2, such as a plasma or LCD screen, which is mounted or fixed securely into a paving slab or footpath surface 3. The display screen 2 may be surrounded by a night light sensor 1, which detects the presence of a person's foot on a sensor and temporarily illuminates the display screen 2. The advertising device is preferably covered by a transparent anti-vandal, anti-scratch, weather resistant screen made from plastic or silicon. Power may be supplied to the device via a solar panel 5. Cables, a power supply and a micro-controller may be installed in the pavement 3 beneath the display screen 2. A remote central control centre may control the information displayed on the display screen 2 and the illumination time of the night light. |
