A connector 1 for fitting a branch pipe to a flow pipe, includes a pipe section 2 with a skirt section 5 shaped to conform to the outer wall of the flow pipe. Beyond the skirt section 5 there is a connection section formed from a number of deformable finger members 6 which have an outer surface 7 which forms a snap fitting. When the fitting 1 is pushed into an opening formed in the flow pipe, the finger members 6 are deformed inwardly and then snap back to lock the connector 1 in place with respect to the pipe. The branch pipe is slightly angled with respect to the saddle (skirt) 5, see figure 3, and may be used for a soil (waste or drain) pipe. |
