USIM CARD STORING MAP INFORMATION, METHOD FOR SERVICING MAP INFORMATION USING USIM CARD

A USIM card in which map information is stored and a map information offering method using the same are provided to enable a user to use a map providing service even without connection with a providing server. A method of providing map information comprises the following steps. An USIM card receives a map offer request message from a mobile communication terminal(S330). A spot corresponding to location information is selected, and then partial map information corresponding to the selected spot is read out by using a pre-stored map mapping table(S370). The read partial map information is transmitted to the mobile communication terminal(S380).
