An alignment tool 20 for aligning a fan 6 in a recess 16 of an engine radiator housing 10 with a predetermined clearance comprises a spacer (22, figure 2) for abutting the recess 16 and the fan 6 to provide the predetermined clearance. The tool 20 may also comprise a positioner (26, figure 2) for maintaining the spacer (22) in an abutment position in the recess 16. The spacer (22) may be a curved elongate plate, and the positioner (26) may extend outwards from an outer surface thereof. The tool 20 may have a radial width that is substantially equal to said predetermined clearance and may be removed once the fan 6 has been correctly aligned. |
