Device and method for recovering status data for equipment in a communication network

The method involves associating a unique identifier to each call context processed by an application used by equipments (S2) e.g. proxy server, and storing state data of applications in correspondence to application identifiers. The state data relative to each application utilized by an equipment (S1) is sequentially recovered in a storing unit (RS) in case of detection of a problem occurred in the equipment (S1). One application identifier designating the corresponding state data among the recovered and stored state data is determined if the state data are not recovered. An independent claim is also included for a device for recovering state data defining states on applications utilized in equipments of a communication network.
