<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the purchase destination information of a desired consumable article to be consumed by peripheral equipment by a compatible program which can be provided by a prescribed providing method. <P>SOLUTION: After a printer driver is installed (S100), selling store information constituted of the URL of a selling site operated by a selling store which has sold a printer is read from a disk for acquiring purchase destination information (S120), and registered in a registry so as to be used by the printer driver (S130). When residual ink is running short, the printer driver displays a warning picture where the order button of ink is displayed, and when a user operates the order button from the picture, the printer driver displays the selling site of the selling store by using the URL registered in the registry. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
