<p>The device has a control console (10) for supporting and referencing a post item, and gauges (14A, 14B) fixed on the console. Preset respective positions of presence detectors (16A-16J) e.g. optical sensors, are on the console to detect presence and position of the post item and to provide estimation of a length of the post item along the position of the post item. A common control unit is connected to each detector for automatically delivering information on category post to which the post item belongs, from the length estimation.</p> |
