<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently perform writing or reading of information signals to optical disks with different thickness. <P>SOLUTION: This optical pickup is provided with: a two shaft actuator 19 supporting a first and second objective lenses 7a, 7b on the same moving part; and a first and second light sources 1, 1a for emitting light beams with different wavelength, respectively. The optical pickup performs writing or reading of the information signals to an optical disk, by focusing a light beam from the first light source with the first objective lens on the optical disk and a light beam from the second light source 1a with the second objective lens on the optical disk. A numerical aperture of the first objective lens is constituted larger than a numerical aperture of the second objective lens, and an optical system block which supports the two shaft actuator 19 is moved and operated in the direction of contact with/separation from an optical disk center. At this time, either of the first and second objective lenses moves in the radial direction of the optical disk through the optical disk center, and tracking errors are detected using the one objective lens by a three beam method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
