1,080,822. Valves. SOC. ANON. DES ETABLISSEMENTS LECQ. March 23, 1965 [March 23, 1964; Nov. 19, 1964], No. 12348/65. Heading F2V. A fluid-actuated relay valve 4 normally con nects an air admission port 5 via an annular chamber 3 to a distribution port (6) (Fig. 3, not shown) but when depressed by the admission of control air through a duct 30 to a space 11 closes the port 5 and connects the port (6) to an exhaust port (7, Fig. 3, not shown) via a space 13. When the supply of control air is cut off, pressure at the port 5 restores the valve 4 to its original position. Either of a pair of ducts 27, 31 may be connected to the supply of control air which displaces a ring 24 to close the duct that is not in use. In a simplified construction, only one control air connection is provided, the ring 24 being omitted. In further constructions, a rubber cylindrical pilot valve (34, Fig. 6, not shown) has end faces to co-operate with inlet (35) and exhaust ports (36) for the control fluid and is actuated by fluid pressure, electrically or manually by a button 42. |
