FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to ecology and biology and can be used for quantitative analysis of indolyl-3-acetic acid in small concentrations in aqueous solutions. The analysis method involves preparation of a sample by adding a solution of indolyl-3-acetic acid to an indicator solution, determination of the optical density of the sample, determination of the concentration of the acid from a calibration graph of optical density against concentration. The indicator solution used is a mixture of 10-2 m alcohol solution of dimethylaminochalcone, acetone and water. The obtained sample is kept in a vacuum drier, and its optical density is determined from maximum absorption when scanning in the 410-440 nm wavelength range. ^ EFFECT: increased sensitivity and simplification of the analysis process. ^ 3 cl, 2 tbl |
