A function information recovering method and a portable terminal are provided to restore the current function information to function information of the order or data desired by a user by enable the user to select the recovery order or time when restoring the function information. A function information recovering method of a portable terminal comprises the following steps of: selecting the recovery point of time in restoring function information(S311); extracting the pre-stored function information corresponding to the selected recovery time(S313); and restoring the current function information to the pre-stored function information(S317).
