A fence for a road is provided to be installed simply and quickly in the prefabricated type without additional welding work in a construction site, and to minimize the injuries of pedestrians and passengers at a car crash. A fence for a road comprises pillars(1) installed on the ground at regular intervals, many shock absorbing members(10) made with elastic materials, formed in the cylindrical body having the appointed height and provided with a through hole(11) to insert to the pillar, and many support bars(20) having two ends(21) for connecting adjacent pillars and inserting to the outer circumference of the pillar, so that the shock absorbing members and the support bars are inserted to the pillars, and the inside diameter of the through hole formed in the shock absorbing member is formed according to the outside diameter of the post and a retreated groove is formed on the inner circumference of the through hole to have a shock absorbing space between the inner circumference of the through hole and the outer circumference of the pillar.
