An electrode collector for electric double layer capacitor and an electric double layer capacitor are provided to improve the reliability of a polarization electrode by enhancing adhesion force with an electrode material layer. An electrode collector for electric double layer capacitor includes a positive electrode(200), a negative electrode(100), and an electrolyte. The positive electrode(200) includes a positive electrode collecting unit(210) and a positive electrode material layer(220). The negative electrode(100) includes a negative electrode collecting unit(110) and a negative electrode material layer(120). The positive electrode collecting unit(210) or the negative electrode collecting unit(110) are integrally formed on the positive electrode material layer(220) or the negative electrode material layer(120). A surface of the positive electrode collecting unit(210) or the negative electrode collecting unit(110) is hydrophilous. A contact angle between distilled water and the positive electrode collecting unit(210) or the negative electrode collecting unit(110) is narrower than 50 degrees. |
