The device has a rod fixed to a handle that is fixed to a wheel, where the wheel pivots on a central axle. A spring is connected to the wheel and fixed to a tube of a parasol, an umbrella or a sunshade, and another wheel is connected to the former wheel. The handle is pressed for locking a blocking ring of ribs at top position. The handle is returned to its initial position under a traction effect of the spring. The wheels are pivoted in a clockwise direction, and a latch is turned in a grip. The ring is driven down by the force of the ribs to close the parasol, umbrella or sunshade.
