A method and an apparatus for executing an execution file are presented to execute a SQL script file through a menu selection method of tree structure. According to a method for executing an execution file using a menu method in a program execution apparatus, a menu supporting command is inputted from a user(S301). A group list of a plurality of execution file information is provided(S303). One of the group list is selected from the user(S305). An execution file list belonging to the selected group list is provided(S307). One of the execution file list is selected from the user(S309). The selected execution file is called(S311).
