A tire tread rubber composition, and a tire containing the rubber comprising the composition are provided to improve abrasion resistance, mileage performance and braking ability. A tire tread rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a rubber material which comprises a copolymer(IB-IP-pMeSt terpolymer) comprising bromoisobutylene, isoprene and paramethylstyrene represented by the formula 1, and at least one of a synthetic rubber and a natural rubber in a ratio of 1:9~9:1 by weight; 30~80 parts by weight of silica; 0.5~2.0 parts by weight of hexamethyldisilazane(HMDZ) represented by (CH3)3Si-HN-Si(CH3)3 as a silica coupling agent; and 10~50 parts by weight of at least one selected from calcium carbonate(CaCO3), clay, talc, mica, illite, tourmaline, elvan, amethyst, yellow soil, and syndiotactic 1,2- polybutadienes(SPB) as a filler.
