A putting trainer is provided to inform an exerciser of the measurement information by measuring speed of a putter during putting, height of the putter and angle of the putter relative to the hitting direction of the putter during hitting, and speed of the hit golf ball. A putting trainer comprises a PSD sensor unit(20) which produces a spot light by receiving infrared rays reflected by a moving putter, and of which a predetermined measuring face outputs an electric light-receiving signal correspondingly to a position at which the spot light is imaged, and a control board which calculates a height of the putter and an inclined angle of the putter relative to a moving direction of the putter based on the light-receiving signal.
