[PROBLEMS] To provide a rotary drive cutter for dentistry in which the fr acturing position can be limited to the shank side and the lifetime to fract ure is prolonged. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] In the rotary drive cutter fo r dentistry where a peeso reamer (10) as the rotary drive cutter for dentist ry comprises a cutting edge (11) formed on the distal end side, a shank (12) formed at the proximal end, and a neck (13) formed between the cutting edge (11) and the shank (12), the neck (13) includes a tapered portion (13a) whi ch is thick on the distal end side and thin on the proximal end side, and a straight portion (13b) having the same diameter as that of the tapered porti on on the thin diameter side and a fixed thickness. Fracture takes place at the thinnest part of the tapered portion but since that part is the straight portion, the lifetime can be prolonged.
