METHOD FOR BILLING MULTIMEDIA TRAFFIC AND APPARATUS THEREOF

A method for billing multimedia traffic and an apparatus thereof are provided to create one kind of billing data for each service without creating two billing data when creating the billing data for the multimedia traffic which requires an additional signaling session. A packet analyzing unit(170) extracts the IP and port information of data packet, and a signaling analyzing unit(210) obtains multimedia traffic signal information by analyzing the signaling packet. A multimedia traffic processor(220) creates the billing data for the multimedia traffic and the signaling packet by receiving the multimedia traffic signal information form the signaling analyzing unit.
