An authentication method using a session key and an authentication apparatus are provided to reduce a time and a resource required for authentication by not requiring an encryption process and a decryption process using a private key and a public key when two objects authenticate each other. A first client and a server share a first session key. A second client and a server share a second session key. The first authentication information generated by using a second session key is received from a server. The second authentication information generated by using a second session key is received from a second client. An authentication completion state for a second client is determined by using the first authentication information and the second authentication information.
