PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor module having a configuration capable of appropriately cooling switching elements on all substrates for the configuration where respective switching elements and diode elements on a plurality of the substrates are arranged in series in the direction of the flow of a refrigerant.

SOLUTION: A parallel flow formation means 8 for forming the flow of the refrigerant in parallel with a prescribed direction is provided in a refrigerant channel 7; the switching element 4 and the diode element 5 are arranged in series in a flow direction D of the refrigerant on each substrate 3; the switching element 4 and a connection terminal region 6 are arranged while allowing their positions to differ in a direction C orthogonal to the flow direction D of the refrigerant; a pair of the substrates 3 is arranged in series in the flow direction D of the refrigerant; the switching element 4 is arranged at one side in the orthogonal direction C on one substrate 3; and the connection terminal region 6 is arranged at one side in the orthogonal direction C in the other substrate 3.
