<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display apparatus capable of projecting a video image on a video projection surface in any arbitrary shape to display such a video image as to cover a field of view of an observer. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a video display apparatus 1 in which a video image is projected on a video projection surface in any arbitrary shape by a video image projection unit, including: an observer field-of-view display unit 2 for displaying thereon a field of view of an observer; an observer field-of-view detection unit 13 for detecting the field of view of the observer displayed by the observer field-of-view display unit 2; a display video image detection unit 12 for detecting a video image projection range of the video image being projected on the video projection surface by the video image projection unit 11; a control arithmetic unit 14 and a video image projecting position moving unit 15 for moving the video image projection unit 11 in such a way as to reduce a difference between the field of view of the observer detected by the observer field-of-view detection unit 13 and the video image projection range detected by the display video image detection unit 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
