摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a valve system capable of avoiding wrong setting of the maximum lift caused by increase of resistance in operation of an actuator when operation of an internal combustion engine is stopped during execution of learning of a reference value of the maximum lift of the engine valve. <P>SOLUTION: A microcomputer 70 calculates an actual value of maximum lift of an intake valve based on an initial value and change history stored in DRAM 72b. When it is determined that remaining change history data is not data stored right before electricity supply stop after recovery from temporary stop of electricity supply to the DRAM 72b, a brushless motor 60 is operated to an upper limit position of the operation range corresponding to the maximum limit value of the maximum lift, and reference value learning setting the actual value of the maximum lift to the maximum limit value.
