PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable facsimile apparatus in which a user can transmit image data without recognizing the existence of a code image with good operability when image data including a code image imaging the code information are transmitted/received, and can decode the code information correctly from a received code image. SOLUTION: The facsimile apparatus 100 comprises a section 107 for judging a code image from image data including a code image imaging the code information, a section 111 for transmitting the image data, and a section 109 for notifying predetermined designation information for making the code image decodable at the destination to the destination.
