Double glazing conversion kit

Conversion kit for converting a single window pane into a double one has an edge strip and a glass plate, each strip having basic web and at least one flange running perpendicularly out of and into the longitudinal direction of the basic web. At least one edge of the glass plate is bound in the space between two flanges at a certain distance from each other or at the outside of a flange. The bonding material used for attaching the glass plate material to the edging strip is a copolymer containing 50-93 wt. % ethylene, 2-40 wt. % methacrylic acid and 5-48 wt. % of a vinyl ester or an acrylic acid or methacrylic acid ester.
