PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit capable of controlling an internal power supply voltage in various ways. SOLUTION: A semiconductor integrated circuit 100 comprises an internal power supply voltage generating circuit 3 which supplies an internal power supply voltage VDD1 to an internal circuit 1 which does not require holding of the data generated in an operation mode when switched to a standby mode, and an internal power supply voltage generating circuit 4 which supplies an internal power supply voltage VDD2 to an internal circuit 2 which requires holding of the data generated during the operation board. In the standby mode, the internal power supply voltage generating circuit 4 sets the internal power supply voltage VDD2 to be a voltage lower than that during operation mode, and the internal power supply voltage generating circuit 3 sets the internal power supply voltage VDD1 to be a ground potential.
