PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate the currents of diodes with high accuracy, with respect to a simulation method and apparatus of a circuit. SOLUTION: In the simulation method and apparatus, the layout information of diodes being the objects of the simulation are inputted to a circuit simulation portion 102. A mechanical stress parameter calculating portion 103 calculates the parameters relative to the mechanical stresses of the diodes based on their layout information. A diode current calculating portion 104 calculates the currents of the diodes by using the parameters relative to their mechanical stresses which are calculated by the mechanical stress parameter calculating portion 103.
