PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe fitting capable of preventing fatigue destruction even if a cycle load by a change of the temperature is applied for a long time. SOLUTION: This socket-like pipe fitting 1 is formed with a socket 2 in one end thereof and a spigot 3 in the other end thereof and has an annular packing 4 arranged in the end of the socket 2. A spacer 6 having a length corresponding to a non-insert margin of a straight pipe 5 is arranged inside the socket 2, and when the straight pipe 5 is inserted to the socket 2, the spacer 6 regulates the amount of insertion of the straight pipe 5 by abutting on the end surface 5A of the straight pipe 5, and when the straight pipe 5 elongates due to thermal expansion, the abutment surface of the spacer 6 between the end surface 5A of the straight pipe 5 is moved with the elongation not to hinder elongation of the straight pipe 5.
