PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage for a roller bearing and a roller bearing, which rolls smoothly in a certain degree of precision without causing frictional flaws on rolling contact surfaces or the like of the roller bearing for a long time. SOLUTION: The roller bearing 10 is provided with: a plurality of pockets 10p; and a plurality of column parts 10c provided between each of pockets, the pockets and the column parts are coupled to the peripheral direction along a pair of ring parts 10r looped by the pocket and the column part, and each roller 6 has: crowning parts 6s, 6t which are gradually shrunk along the total length toward each end part of both sides in the rotary shaft direction; and the rolling contact surface composed by a straight part 6u in which these crowning parts are continuously completed at a prescribed radius dimension. When the rolling contact surface of the roller is pushed to a pocket surface 10a from the peripheral direction without slanting the rotary shaft of the housed rollers, each pocket abuts on the crowning part only with a point Ps, Pt, while each pocket shows a shape of non-contact state with the straight part.
