PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MMP inhibitor (matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor) inhibiting the decomposition of collagen constituting the periodontal soft tissue and suppressing the breakdown of periodontal tissue, thereby preventing or ameliorating periodontal diseases. SOLUTION: MMP inhibiting action is developed by including lactoferrin in liposome. The breakdown of a periodontal tissue, especially periodontal soft tissue can be suppressed by orally administering the inclusion product. An oral composition can be prepared by forming the MMP inhibitor in a pharmaceutical form.
