METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF POLYESTER EMULSION-TYPE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

Disclosed is a method for producing a polyester emulsion-type adhesive composition, which comprises the steps of: adding a polyester resin to a surfactant phase (D phase) containing water, a polyhydric alcohol and a surfactant to form an O/D-type gel emulsion having the surfactant phase (D phase) as a continuous phase; and adding water to the gel emulsion to convert the continuous phase from the surfactant phase (D phase) to water, thereby producing an O/W-type emulsion. The polyester resin has an acid value of 1 to 12 mgKOH/g. In the O/D-type gel emulsion, the polyhydric alcohol, the surfactant and water are contained in amounts of 2 to 8 parts by weight, 1 to 5 parts by weight and 0.5 to 15 parts by weight, respectively, relative to 100 parts by weight of the polyester resin.
