The invention relates to a flat lamp (1) transmitting radiation in the ultraviolet, called UV, comprising first and second flat dielectric walls (2, 3) facing each other, kept approximately parallel and sealed between them, defining an internal space (10) filled with a gas emitting said UV radiation (7) and/or capable of exciting a phosphor material (6) emitting said UV radiation, said phosphor material being placed on a main internal face (22, 32) of the first wall and/or the second wall, the first and/or the second dielectric wall being made of a material transmitting said UV radiation, electrodes consisting of a first electrode (4) integrated into the first wall or on the external main face of the first wall, and of a second electrode (5) on the internal main face of the second wall, at different potentials, the first electrode and/or the second electrode being based on a material that transmits said UV radiation or arranged for a sufficient overall transmission of said UV, the first and second electrodes extending over surfaces having dimensions at least approximately equal to the surface of the walls in the internal space.
