The clothing i.e. press felt (23), has a support (16) and molded linear structures (1.4), where the structures are made of polyurethane or polyurethane containing composition or natural rubber or synthetic rubber. A profile of the individual structure is produced by a cross-sectional profile which is different from a circular cross section. The cross-sectional profile is triangular, polygonal and star shaped. Surface areas of the structures are completely made of polyurethane and rubber. The surface areas are arranged together between transitions in an angle. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting a degree of hardness of a paper machine clothing.
