POWER OUTPUT DEVICE, HYBRID CAR EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING POWER OUTPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transmission efficiency of power in a more extensive operation region by properly switching the connecting state between first and second elements of a power distribution integration mechanism and a driving shaft.

SOLUTION: In a hybrid car 20, when predetermined shift state switching conditions are established in such a state that a carrier 45 is connected to a driving shaft 67 by a transmission 60: revolving speed adjustment processing for matching the revolving speed of a motor MG1 with target revolving speed Nm1* based on the gear rate of the transmission 60 and the revolving speed of the driving shaft 67; the connection of a sun gear 41 configured of a gear string corresponding to the target number of gear-change stage n* of the transmission 60 and the driving shaft 67; power transfer processing for transferring torque between motors MG1 and MG2 in a simultaneous engagement state, and for outputting the torque to be output in a post-shift state corresponding to the target number of gear-change stage n* by the motors MG1 and MG2; and the release of the connection of the carrier 45 and the driving shaft 67 are executed.
