<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording controller and a control method therefor, enabling reproduction of a newest program by a predetermined operation. <P>SOLUTION: The recording controller includes a program reservation information registration section (56a1) for setting recording reservation, and a recording control section (56a4) for recording a program becoming the recording reservation object set at the program reservation information registration section on a recording medium. A reproduction control section reproduces a program recorded finally on the recording medium by recording reservation in response to a predetermined operation.
