<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and program allowing an operator to simultaneously observe the inside of an anfractuous tubular tissue such as the large intestine, with an inner wall surface. <P>SOLUTION: When a tubular tissue 10 has a cross section such as (a), this image processing method finds a range 11 with a radius of a reference distance (r) around a central path 14 of the tubular tissue 10, draws a three-dimensional image in the outside part 12 of the reference distance (r) by a ray-casting method by projecting a virtual ray 15, and draws a two-dimensional and cylindrical cross section (equivalent to MPR (multi-Planar Reconstruction)) on a circumference 13 of the reference distance (r) using a voxel value on the circumference 13. This image processing method can simultaneously observe the inside 13 (a cross-sectional image) and the surface 12 (a projection image) of the tubular tissue 10, and give a view of the tubular tissue 10 across the wide range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
