PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a high life performance. SOLUTION: A separator 5 used for the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 is a fine porous membrane made of a polyolefin resin containing polyethylene and polypropylene, and contains polypropylene 7 wt.% to 25 wt.% against the total weight of the polyethylene and polypropylene, and its surface roughness (Ra) is 15 nm to 30 nm.
