PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grass cutter having improved operability and excellent safety and workability of the cutting work with the grass cutter by solving the trouble of the ON/OFF operation of a cutting blade clutch lever in a conventional grass cutter which performs the ON/OFF operation of the rotation power of the cutting blade of the cutting part of the grass cutter by operating a cutting blade clutch lever to perform the ON/OFF operation of a belt-tension type clutch mechanism to necessitate a certain level of muscular force for the lever operation against the belt tension, impose an unskilled aged person or woman with exertion of a certain extent of force and cause a danger compared with other-type of levers because of the wrong operation with another lever and the ON/OFF of the high-speed rotation power of the cutting blade. SOLUTION: The clutch operation for the ON/OFF operation of the rotation power of a cutting blade of a cutting part is carried out by an electric actuator or an electromagnetic clutch such as a motor or a cylinder.
