PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply produce a protective cover for preventing a face to be protected of an article constituting a product from being damaged by a jig, a tool, a part or the like under operation in an assembly step of the product. SOLUTION: The protective cover for work is composed of a multi-layer sheet constituted by a skin layer having a thickness of≥0.2 mm and obtained by impregnating or coating a fiber sheet with a thermoplastic resin having a minimum film-forming temperature of≥20°C and a glass transition temperature of≥15°C and a cushioning layer having a thickness of≥1 mm and arranged at the inside of the skin layer, and has a shape following the face to be protected of the article and a surface hardness (JIS K 6301) measured by a spring-type hardness tester type A of≥30 Hs. The protective cover for the work is produced by heating the bilayer sheet, pressing the skin layer in a softened state to the face to be protected to form the shape along the face to be protected, and thereafter cooling the product. The assembly work of the product is carried out in the state in which the protective cover for the work is attached to the face to be protected of the article. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
