PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable paper diaper which is improved in both the attractive look and the fittability of a product. SOLUTION: The disposable paper diaper 1 is used to form a waist opening WO and left and right leg openings LO, and has a trunk part T which comprises a waist part W including the waist opening rim and an under-waist part U running from the bottom end of the waist part W to the starting ends of the leg openings, wherein the waist part W has a plurality of thread-like stretchable materials which are set along the circumference at intervals in a longitudinal direction; the under-waist part U has a network of stretchable materials consisting of circumferential threads and longitudinal of threads, but has circumferential stretchability only in the left and right side regions excluding the central region; the trunk part T has a stretchable materials of circumferential threads which is present in the longitudinal directions at an interval of 7.0 mm or less over a length of 60% or more relative to that of the trunk part; and the under-waist part U is equal to or shorter than the waist part W in configurational relation of their respective stretchable materials of circumferential threads.
