The invention relates to novel anisometric mesoparticles and nanoparticles in the form of anisometric mesofibers/nanofibers, mesopipes/nanopipes, mesobands/nanobands, mesocables/nanocables, and the curved and branched or superimposed variations thereof as well as a novel method for the production thereof. The invention particularly relates to anisometric mesoparticles and nanoparticles which have an aerodynamic diameter <5 mum, the production thereof, loading thereof with active substances if the same cannot directly be utilized as an active substance, and the use thereof especially for producing medicaments against lung diseases or systemic diseases in humans and animals if the particles cannot directly be utilized as medicaments without carriers.
