A slide blade is guided in lateral slots and vertically movable by a threaded spindle assembly. The spindle is guided in a cantilever at the slide blade and in a spindle nut mounted between the legs of a U-shaped support which extends over the width of, and is movable with respect to, the slide blade. A pressure spring is arranged between the cantilever and the lower leg of the support. Spindles carrying wedge elements guided in the sliding slots are mounted laterally of the slide blade. The wedge elements cooperate with fixed wedge elements of the slide blade such that after closing the slide valve via the threaded spindle, a sealing pressure is exerted upon the slide blade at its lower edge and both sides. |
