Rocket for ejection of a pay load such as radar reflecting material, flares or the like, comprises a propellent charge 4 and an explosive or detonating charge 10 for ejecting the pay load and exploded by a time fuse 8 which is ignited at the time of discharge of the rocket by a detonator 7. The device is characterized in that the propellent charge is located in a casing 3 at the rear of the rocket and is retained by a cover 5 sealed at 6. As shown, the delay charge is carried in a tube 9 threaded into a base 11 and locked by a nut 13 which secures the rear chamber 3. A percussion cap holder 7 is fixed to the rear of the tube. In a modification, the propellent charge (4), Fig. 2 (not shown), is enclosed by a cup-shaped member (5) surrounding the tube 8 and provided with a seal 18. The seal 6 or 18 may be a lacquer. |
