<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To interconnect communication terminals by identifying communication media adopted for a transmitting source communication terminal and a destination communication terminal and converting the media on a middle point between the communication terminals performing media communication. <P>SOLUTION: The media conversion system includes: a means for identifying at least a communication media adopted for media communication by a communication terminal when a control signal for controlling the media communication is provided from the communication terminal; a data receiving means for receiving data from the communication terminal; a means for converting the receiving data into media data corresponding to the communication media adopted by the second communication terminal in accordance with the identified communication media when the receiving data are media data transmitted from the first communication terminal to the second communication terminal; and a means for transmitting the converted media data to the second communication terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
