PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein the presence or absence of the occurrence of overcurrent cannot be detected precisely when a fault occurs in, for example, a comparator and a comparison voltage and hence reliability is deteriorated since only one detection system is composed in a conventional overcurrent detection circuit. SOLUTION: In the overcurrent detection circuit, an A/D converter 8 is connected to a voltage output terminal 51, and a detection means 7 detects whether the overcurrent has occurred based on the HI, LOW of a discrete signal 53a and the level of output 8a in the A/D converter.
